The design of Piero Guidi’s first Flagship store in NYC references to the brands Italian Urbino origins. The concept stands out for the bright visual quality of the displays, the simple elegance of the materials highlighted by the integration custom LED lighting. The materials included eco-leather, 2” thick white concrete floors, laser cut/hand tooled polished stainless steel display cases, and custom printed ceiling coverings. All the display units are custom designed. The two rows of polished stainless steel and glass shelves cross the space in the short direction and allow the shopper to pass under and through them. The major wall display niches are loosely based on the proportional relationships found in parts of the Studiolo Rooms located in Urbino’s Palazzo Ducale.
